The Peter Henderson brand celebrated 150 years of bagpipe making in 2018. To mark this historic anniversary, they created this unique set of Heritage bagpipes paying tribute to the Henderson tradition. Peter Henderson PH2HT Heritage bagpipes are handcrafted from the finest African Blackwood, instrument grade Boxwood and hand-engraved Silver thistle design. The projecting mount profile is based upon a 1910 set, which is more refined in comparison to those of the 1920s. The carefully selected Boxwood in the projecting mounts and bushes is rated first grade and polishes to a high natural lustre providing beautiful contrast to the African Blackwood. The Silver ferrules, slides, ring caps and mouthpiece slide are engraved with a level of craftsmanship that can only be achieved by an expert hand. An innovative plastic lining system protects the inside of the wood from the stresses and strains caused by moisture. This bagpipe is supplied as either sticks only excluding chanter or as a complete set with Peter Henderson plastic pipe chanter and your choice of blowpipe length, synthetic pipe bag, synthetic drone reeds, silk cords and pipe bag cover. All Peter Henderson bagpipes are accompanied by a 5-year manufacturer’s guarantee and each Heritage set comes with its own unique number engraved on the bass drone stock. This is a beautifully crafted heirloom set to be treasured, played and passed onto the next generation.
